Crime Alert From The Clear Lake City Water Authority
The Clear Lake City Water Authority (CLCWA) has received reports of people approaching residents and stating they work for Entex/Centerpoint, claiming the water is contaminated, and saying they need to enter your residence to test the water. THESE STATEMENTS ARE FALSE. A CLCWA representative will not ask to enter your residence. Your water has not been contaminated. Entex/Centerpoint employees do not handle water issues. Please immediately CALL THE POLICE and report any incidents.

ALERT: Home Burglaries
Many of you may have seen the Channel 13 news reports last week that home burglaries are on the rise in several Clear Lake area neighborhoods (Bay Oaks, Northfork, Pinebrook). The good news is that the Houston Police Department had already taken action before the report aired. Several neighboring communities have been receiving additional police services including both marked and unmarked patrol cars. Beginning this week, that program will be expanded into Bay Knoll and you will see some additional activity.
HPD Community Liaison Officer Randy Derr tells us that HPD will also have both mounted (horseback) and bicycle patrols in the Clear Lake community. Precinct 8 Constable Phil Sandlin has been in communication with our Clear Lake HPD officers, and will also have supplemental patrols in our area. As a reminder, most of these burglaries are occurring during the day. The burglars are knocking at the front door, or ringing the doorbell. If no one answers for several days in a row, the burglars go to the back of the house and break in.
So how do you protect your home? Get to know your neighbors. Make sure you know who belongs in your neighborhood, and who is a stranger. Most importantly, report any suspicious activity to the Police Department.
